they are not latin. they don't even speak latin, they speak spanish. latin was a language the romans spoke, not a race of people. why don't we start calling them greek instead? they can't speak greek either.

Latin is from the Romans, Latinos are from Latin America. Spanish, French, English came out of Latin - they are called the romance languages, of all things.
That's like saying in the US you couldn't name New York and New Jersey from Europe's York and Jersey, from which they were.
After I wrote this I pulled this out for you:
"Originally a political term, Amerique Latine was coined by Napoleon III, who cited Amerique Latine and Indochine as goals for expansion during his reign"

Latins were the people that included Romans. The Romans started settling folks in Celtic Iberia (Spain). Latin and Gaelic, as well as Arabic fused to make the Spanish language. Since they speak a form of Spanish, and are generally opposed to being classed as low-life Indians, they call themselves Latins.

I am not sure why you are such disillusioned loser with homicidal fantasies. One day you may be able to state your obvious racist views in a more intellectually stimulating manner. Until then keep typing away on the Internet and maybe someone will actually think that you are an interesting person. I am curious to know if you have ever harmed someone of another ethnic background or is it all talk. I am sure that you may believe you are white but in reality you are some sort of mutt mixed with all of the finest trash Europe has to offer. You may need to seek some help for the inferiority complex you obviously suffer from.

Is not that they think they are Latin. people from around the world started calling them Latin, because if you only knew that the Spanish language has its roots from the Latin tongue you would know why people from the world call them Latinos. They shouldn't even be call Hispanics because they are not from Spain. You should call them according to their place of precedence. Mexico = Mexicans, Puerto Rico = Puerto Ricans, Argentina = Argentineans, Venezuela = Venezuelans they are all different. People like you and others get lazy and do not take the time to investigate their background. That's why it is easier to call them all LATINOS.................

Latin American descent.
Just like (some) people born in America that have dark colored skin. The ones that call themselves African Americans. They are not from Africa, and do not speak any dialect of the African language, yet they call themselves African Americans.

therevolution, seek anger help. How is someone asking why latin americans are called latin racist?
weirdo
Anyways, the name of them doesn't really matter. African americans call themslves that because they come from eropean descent, just like we're european americans (just called whites), obviously people know you didn't come from there.
