Protein S Deficiency makes the bllod clot...(short version) and yes i did ask the doc why they gave her it...they said bcoz i was unconcious and i have a written apology from the hospital in question admitting liability....and that about the father not being a carrier making it less likely for her to get it is rubbish...only 1 of my parents was a carrier and i still got it...like i said my child has a 50/50 chance...and the type of case im thinking of is trespass against the person....but thanx for taking the time to answer anyway. :o)

I'm having trouble seeing a connection between your protien deficiency and the vitamin K. Vitamin K is pretty benign.

What kind of case are you looking to build?

vit K is for her best, so her blood has the possibility to coagulate if hurt. vit K is not a drug; You are not borned with vit k, and must "get" this by injection - until the body "gets" this after a while.

Vit K injection will not give her any disorders. She'll not die of it or get a braindamage of it. There is no connection what so ever. This is not a case.

Unless she developed a venous clot as a direct result of the injection, you don't have a case. Also, if your husband doesn't have the disease & is not a carrier - it is unlikely that she will have a form of the disease that will affect her life at all.

I would consult with an attorney with a legal medical background.

DID YOU ASK THE DOCTOR WHY HE GAVE YOUR DAUGHTER DRUGS WITHOUT CONSULTING YOU?MAYBE HE GAVE HER DRUGS TO MAKE SURE NOTHING IS WRONG WITH HER YOU SHOULD NEVER JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS.
