It's very close to the ago of the univers supposedly, so if youc an find how old the universe is approximately then it's just a tad bit shorter than that, like by a few thousand years I think is what it was... maybe a lil' more but yeah

Depends on how far the star was. It takes 8 minutes for sunlight to travel from the sun to the earth.

billions of years, a lot of the light we see today was coming before the earth even formed
