I'm not certain, but I don't think so. I think we have to buy those things ourselves. If he's in therapy, you could ask the therapist. Unfortunately we still have a long way to go on sensory issues being taken seriously by insurance companies, etc. You can check for them on ebay and maybe get them cheaper. You can also make an equivelant one yourself, fairly inexpensively. Just go somewhere like Toys R Us, or look online, for beanbags, the little ones. Then sew them onto a regular blanket. This also gives you more control than buying one, because you can adjust the weight to fit your child's individual needs!

Off-topic: If you have the possibility to travel to California with your child, have a one-time treatment Atlasprofilax done.

I don't know about success in autism, but I personally would rate the chances very high for getting significant relief.

The treatment costs approx. 220 dollars, I've experienced it myself here in Switzerland.
