This is true. Cats only expose their bellies to people that they trust completely.

That is true, it is a trait they have in common with big cats.
If a cat rolls over on it's back and exposes it's stomach to
you, it means it trusts you completely and unconditional that
you will not harm it in any way.
You must take this as a great compliment, as cats do not
give it freely, feel very honored.
CATS RULE!!

Actually I think that if a cat allows you to scratch behind there ears it is a compliment. I have had many cats I do not know that when I pet them for the first time they let me pet their belly. Being able to scratch behind a cats ears takes time and love to accomplish.

Yes - it is true. A cat will only do that if it trusts you.

Pay attention to how your cat behaves when their are guests in your home - they generally won't flip to expose their bellies.

I have a cat that lays flat out on her back constantly. Almost every picture I have she's lying on her back. I was showing them to someone one time and they said that is amazing. Cats rarely lay flat on their backs. They do that only if they have no fear and trust you completely.
I had never heard that before, but if it's true, it is a compliment to me.

They are comfortable with you and trust you. Did you ever notice when they are nervous they slink around with their bellies to the ground?
