Some observers believe that the act of suicide is a desperate plea for help. Others argue that suicide gestures are ways of controlling other people. Nearly 30 percent of suicide victims provided some type of warning prior to the act itself. It appears that people who commit suicide are individuals who are unable to deal adequately with their stress and know of no other alternative.
There are some things that can be done to help prevent suicide.
Getting potential suicide victims to promise not to commit suicide before seeing a counselor appears to be successful. Talking with them about how they feel might help reassure them until they can get professional help.
If you are with a potential suicide victim, go with him or her to get help. A counseling center, hospital emergency room, or even a police station are places where professionals will know how to handle the situation. If indeed the person feels there is no reason to live, then the best treatment would seem to be one that provides the person with hope.
sychologists do not understand exactly why people commit suicide. They hope through continuing research to improve their understanding of the causes of suicide and to learn how to prevent this tragic waste of human life.

Depression. Family history of any serious psychiatric disease: depression or mood disorder, or impulsiveness (as teen-agers tend to naturally be or as a result of ADHD). Circumstances such as money stress, divorce, move, break-up, doing bad at school, at job, not getting along with family, are just catalysts. You have to have the chemistry genetically.

Its desire ..
We are always filled with desires , tHis DeSIRE , when not fulfilled leads to Disappointments & Depression and this leads to DEMISE of a person's hope , his appreciation for life and once for all His valuable life itself !
A suicide is the end of a person's hope and emotions , where he is benumbed and has no other way ..
Social ways , problems , etc always add fire to it.

When you loose hope and cannot cope anymore(materialistically, mentally, or physically) and you think nobody cares whether you live or die. Also, your living does not make a difference to others and above all, you don't care any more.

Losing faith in themselves. Whatever happens, everything can be handled and brought back our way. But if one loses faith in his ability to do so, then he commits suicide.
