Tell all the people that had said that that they are a bunch of crap cause reagradless of what they say dosnt matter tat you should believe them. Just REad some of this information:
In 1995, the sport of Volleyball was 100 years old! The sport originated in the United States, and is now just achieving the type of popularity in the U.S. that it has received on a global basis, where it ranks behind only soccer among participation sports. Today there are more than 800 million players worldwide who play Volleyball at least once a week.
Volleyball, like basketball, is a sport whose origin is known almost to the day. Oddly enough, both sports were invented at the same college and within a few years of one another. Volleyball was invented in 1895 by William G. Morgan, a student at Springfield College and a director of the YMCA at Holyoke, Massachusetts. The game was originally called "Mintonette".
Volleyball quickly spread around the world and became more popular in other countries than in the United States. The Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) was formed in 1946. The sport was introduced to the Olympics in 1964 by the Japanese, although it was never contested as a demonstration sport at the Olympics. No country has been truly dominant in volleyball, although the Soviet Union has won the most medals. Originally the Japanese had the world's best women players while the United States had the best men's team in the world throughout the 1980s.
Volleyball has now reached great heights of popularity in the United States and Brazil, largely thanks to the discipline of beach volleyball.
The beach volleyball phenomenon, although hugely visible, is still just in its infancy. From the first FIVB World Tour event just over ten years ago, to the overwhelming spectator and television success of 'Beach' at the Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, beach volleyball has opened up Volleyball to a completely new market.

Psh, OF COURSE!
What about basketball? Is that not a sport? They'reon a court too. And besides there's BEACH VOLLEYBALL too.
I've been playing volleyball a little longer than 4 years. People think that volleyball is the easiest sport there is ever. Well they're wrong. It's harder than bumpSETspike..
Anyone who says volleyball is not a sport needs to seriously do some more research or reconsider. Everyone can have their own opinion, but it's proven and its an obvious thing, VOLLEYBALL IS A SPORT.
No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
PROBLEM SOLVED...
when their shouldnt have even been a problem to begin with.
...Wow...

Most definitely. It's an awesome sport. Playing organized or school ball or even watching the world-class games like the Olympics or varsity ball will give you an idea of the complexities and nuances of the game. Volleyball requires not only great athleticism but also an ample amount of strategies and tactics. Great reflexes, anticipation, power, finesse, teamwork and passion. It's all there baby. Look closely, and you can apply these to a lot of sports. And volleyball is definitely a sport.

Volleyball is a sport and you can laugh in the face of those who dare...
Volleyball is an Olympic sport in which two teams separated by a high net use their hands, arms, or (rarely) other parts of their bodies to hit a ball back and forth over the net. Each team is allowed three hits to get the ball over the net to the other team. A point is scored if the ball hits the ground in the opponents' court, if the opponents commit a fault, or if they fail to return the ball properly.
Volleyball gameVolleyball can be a very active sport that can be an excellent source for aerobic exercise. It also helps players improve their hand-eye coordination and the ability to override the instinctive desire to dodge a fast-moving object such as a ball.

Yes, volleyball is a sport. Indeed it is a good sport. Just because you stay in one court does not mean volleyball is not a sport.

Yes, I think it is a sport. I think anyone that doesn't has a serious misunderstanding of what a sport is. Football stays on the same court/field, so is that not a sport too?

If tennis is a sport, why not volleyball. Those people claimed it is not a sport are ones can't play volleyball.
