In the hopeless realm of casual dating, I was just curious if there is somebody out there who believes in finding that destined person, your fate, or a serendiptuous life-altering stumble. Do you feel there is someone out there for you? Or do we all just "settle"??? It would greatly help a poor sap who lacks the capacity for initiation.

I really and truly feel that someone is out there for me. I think I have met and "know" him but being with him isn't going to work - one odd that is impossible to beat; only if we run away.
So now I just have to 'settle.'
But the reality is, not everyone will find that special someone.

I believe in fate... I settled for what I thought was the best for me... then he came along... we knew that it was fate that brought us together... now we are trying to find a way to not hurt the others so we can be with each other.

ME!
i had more than one 'serious' relationship in my time; and by that i mean longer than 3-5 years. one lasted almost 10 years.
one guy kept beating around the bush that when i get single i should call him, but he never gave me his number. on the first date I KNEW i had found THE ONE for me. probably before that , but i was too scared or something ( maybe i wanted to live my life . big laugh ).
i felt more at home with him than with anyone else in the world. including the family i was born into. i found me. i knew there was no one else in the universe. just us.

Yeah i believe we're all meant to be with a certain person whether we find them or not is a different story.
