No, not really, there just high in calories, only cause of the dressing, so try not to use the whole packet of dressing and such, in fact, just try to use an less and you can and then they wont be bad for you.

Technically yes they are bad for you. A McDonald's salad has more calories in it than a Big Mac does. So, since that's the case, then yes the salads there aren't healthy. It would be ok to eat them now and then, but not too often.

It's not so much the salad itself, but the dressing that can be really bad. We're talking artery spackle (and tons of calories) when it comes to the thick creamy ranch style dressing most places offer. Go for a light vinaigrette instead and make sure the salad has something more than iceberg lettuce and it should be fairly decent.

well...they're not exactly that healthy, albeit healthier than the other choices you have at mcdonald's....
the thing is, nearly everything in mcdonald's, wendy's, etc has a lot of sugar. sugar is simple, refined carbohydrate, and is turned into fat very quickly by the body. its basically empty calories-food with zero nutritional value. sugar doesnt have any proteins, EFAs, vitamins or minerals at all.
n the problem is, these salads have lots of extra sugar added to them to improve the taste. unfortunately, the very opposite happens to the nutritional value.

They are fairly bad for you, especially the dressings. If you don't put all of the extra stuff on them (nuts, noodles, etc) and you use a lighter dressing, then they are pretty good for you. You just need to be careful about what you ad to the actual salad base.

I do not like the salads from neither. Burger King makes the best salads, The make them fresh, instead being pre-made.

They're not BAD, per se, but they're probably not as healthy as they'd like you to believe. The dressing alone has a lot of fat in it, and if you add crispy chicken or something, that's adding even more fat and calories.

How can they be, it's not like the vegetables are frozen, or fried, or loaded with salt.
