Well, Pattaya can be alot of fun as a place to go out.. plenty of girls - but it is a place all to its self.. it is barely still in Thailand as it is all set up for foreigners - - international cuisine, lots of people speak English etc.. drinking, yes - for sure - go go bars too - just try to keep it in perspective when all of a sudden 1000s of girls fall in love with you.. American clubs? Hip hop music? Hey, your not in Kansas anymore.. Definitely Over The Rainbow...

Girls are fine and drinks are there...but it will be very unlikely to find a club that plays hip hop only for the whole night. Most of the DJ's would cover a good portion of disco, hip hop, pop, and even some Thai music (both modern and old). It is a tourist town afterall.

There are plenty there, both local and foreign. Place is for tourists, so you should be fine there. Quite a few pubs are owned by foreigners, so you have a cross-section of music choices. Just move around till you find some place you like.
