I believe that you 've suffered. Even the strongest among us can not escape that, except by luck. Try to extract happiness from the things around you that cannot harm you. Like flowers, or a beautiful sunset. That may keep your pain as small as possible.
I hope that if a man who loves you ever shows up, he won't find your heart broken and unable to believe in love.
Remember: there are beautiful things in live that cannot harm. Try to enjoy them.
