Lately when I eat certain fruit e.g. plums,pears. They cause a slight acidy/burning feeling in my mouth. Why did this happen all of a sudden in my life? Anthing to do to stop this and still eat these fruits?

I don't consume a lot of caffeine (one coffee a day), acidic foods, wine/alcohol, hot spicy--and don't smoke.

...Check with the doc to see if you have acid reflux....you can go the natural healing route, which would be to alter your lifestyle and some of your food choices. Cut back on caffeine, acidic foods, wine/alcohol, hot spicy--and eat more alkaline foods, no smoking. There is a natural seaweed called Bladder Wrack that will cauterize stomach ulcers if you have any...better and longer lasting than tagamet...

Possibly mouth ulcers. The acids and sugars in some fruits irritate them
