I have tried them all before I decided to keep Kosher. Don't miss them. What is a pain is trying to find a place where I can actually eat in most locales.

A Muslim here.
To be honest, I didn't feel that I have the urge to eat or drink any forbidden foods or drinks. Alcohol is forbidden in Islam, and I can see why. It causes temporary insanity, and liver damage (not forgetting: Bad breath!). Ham is also forbidden. But again, I saw pigs on TV, how do they eat mud and their own poop, so no thanks! I don't wanna try to eat that! Carnivores (with claws) are forbidden, but once more, who wants to eat a cat or a lion??

In Islam obeying the desire is also called to associates with God.
Muslims, when they decide to submit to the will of God they kill their desire to obey only God.
Yes if we are starving to death and the forbidden food can revive us then we have the authorisation to eat just as little as it can save our lives.

I haven't really had the desire to try out non-kosher foods.
I heard from non-Jewish friends and Jewish friends that didn't grow up religious that bacon tastes good, but I have no desire to try it. . . and shrimp just gross me out.

I have eaten junior mints even though they aren't certified as kosher and I wish they were kosher. Yummy!

As of now i have never been that curious to try out any forbidden food.
And considering the foods that are not halal, i try making them at home.
Turns out, I am really not missing anything! Thanks to the Almighty.

tried them all (well many of them) and since leaving them behind, don't really miss any of them.
