depends on what state you are in, $8000 a year seems really low, that doesnt sound right for a family of 2, going on 3. that sounds more like the bracket for a single person. re-apply, is she working too? i know WIC can deny if the woman makes too much money, but if she's not working at all, they dont usually ask for anybody elses income, they never asked for my husbands income only mine, I am curious about how much you do make a year lol

When Iw as pregnant, I got denied for Medical. I re-applied later in the pregnancy and they were so worried that i hadn't had any medical insurance for most of my pregnancy-they approved it and rushed the application. I am not saying this would work, but sometimes a different case worker is all you need. (also, I should point out, that I paid out-of-pocket all the doctor appointments and lab work-expensive, yes...but I would not go without.) Check out your state's pregnancy help programs-there may be some other programs out there for you to utilize...Medicaid and WIC should be able to direct you.

one nice thing about illinois, they got a program called kid care. its medical ins for your kids. you can make up to $60,000 a year and still get it. the cost is from free on up. it includes dental too. dont you have a state program where you live? did you ask the people at public aid if their is any program who can help you? i know what its like to be w/ out ins, it really sucks. ive had 3 teeth pulled because i had no ins. i have it now cause im married and we get it through his job. maybe after your baby is born you can apply for help, you'll have one extra person in your family so the amount you can earn each month will go up a little. i know life is tough, hang in there. just do what you can. even if you have to make payments to the hospital at $5 a month, you can do that. as long as you pay something you'll be ok.

Yeah the system is really messed up. It doesn't help those who need it and turns around and give things our tax dollars have paid for to those who are breaking the law and here illegally. I would suggest trying some of the other government agencies out there and check with some of the chariety groups, churches, ministries, etc. Some of them may be able to help. If you are a veteran you may also want to contact the VA. You may be able to get some sort of assistance from them.

Depends what state you live in. In NY, there is Family Health Plus and Healthy NY besides Medicaid. Ask for a Fair Hearing in regards to the Medicaid denial.

There are different aid programs in different states. I do not know what state you live in but maybe you could check around for other programs such as food pantries, etc. I know in certain states they have these food pantries for people who don't have much income. I am sorry about your situation and I hope you can take my advice. Check it out, man. Don't give up, there is help out there and keep your chin up. Its a tough world out there but the American people are the most generous folks in the world. One other thought: Go to your local court house and try to get information. They should know where you can get help. What about the Red Cross?

pay for a legal seperation, I hate to say it but LIE. She gets the medical Card, which you neeed, and WIC,which the baby will need. The state will come after you for child support, but sign the birth certificate right off the bat and they will take it eaiser on you. they will make you pay a percentage of your paycheck, but in the long run this way is cheaper.good luck...Carla 38 motrher of 3

I'm not sure what you can do we were in the same situation a few years ago except my step daughters mom recieved all available state aid for her and she lived with us 50% of the time. In our state if you are just trying to get some help and are doing your best to make it, they don't help. If you don't work and just keep having kids by different men, then they pay for your house, car, food, clothes. GOOD LUCK!!!

Really there is nothing you can do b/c the system is messed up. They only want to help people who don't want to help themselves. I am a single mother and I can't get any help b/c I am going back to school to get my masters in nursing. So the best thing I can say is that you can appeal the decision or try to get a different case worker.
