I'm a South African and have lived in Korea for 5 years.

The people are xenophobic which mean they are afraid of foreigners. Some can be really good friends though.

The food is horrible and spicy, but really inexpensive at some places and sometimes worth having a bite. Beware of some meats. Keep to bulgogi houses for the time being and then move on to other restaurants or do as I did...eat McDonald's all week.

The traffic is crazy in Seoul and you can spend up to 20 000 won for a taxi one day and 5000 won the next day for the same distance. In other parts you don't even have to worry about traffic...the smaller towns.

The cost of living is HIGH, fruit and veggies are expensive, but one can survive once you know what to buy, how much of it to buy and when to buy. You can bargain..that's nice about Koreans.

Night Clubs are great but expensive. The karaoke rooms are a favorite among Koreans, but I like it too. Relatively cheaper but you pay lots for drinks and food there.

Dunno about the Korean girls. Never really liked the skinny Korean girls and I'm happily married.

Have a good time in Korea and keep saying: "Korea number one" and you'll be loved by Koreans. Don't know what it means, but just try it I guarantee you'll be ok..

I have been living in Korea for 2 years. I love the people, although there is always one or two that will make you feel like crap. Same with anywhere. Yes, they are xenophobic, but the younger generations are much more open to foriegners than the older ones. I love the food too. That includes the spicy stuff, you just need to learn which foods are too spicy for you. I go out every Sunday with some other forieng friends and we pick a new Korean restaurant to try out. I will admit that we have hit on some overly hot food, but you just have to learn which foods are to your liking. Cost of living is about standard because it is a big city, but smaller towns are a bit less expensive, which is where I live. Entertainment is about the same as any other big city. Movies in English, clubs, tourist sites etc. As for the Korean girls, it is possible to meet them. However, they are not easy, if that is what you are looking for, and in many cases unless you can speak Korean you are going to have a hard time even asking for her phone number.

Traffic is not that annoying.

cost of living is above average.

Entertainment? there's big city.

Industry? much of companies are in there.

Possibility to meet KOREAN GIRLS? lol

Yes, you can meet easily but not like Japanese girls.

They are not hookers.

Don't think they're loose and easy to do.

But, if you open your mind, every korean will love you. ;)
