not sure how to answer a question you've already answered

she's a "devout buddhist"
she wears fur
therefore, devout buddhists can (and do) wear fur

she hasn't been struck dead, arrested, or carted off in the night because there is no buddhist avenger, police force, mafia, government, or agency to do so

she has only her own conscience to answer to

Anyone can wear anything if the need is strong enough. How is her wearing the fur of an already dead animal hurting the animal? She is making use of something that someone already wasted.

Look at the American Indians. They killed for food and clothing, but they did not get greedy. They only took what they needed from nature. Modern civilization would do well to learn from that example.

I believe in animal rights, but you can take anything too far. Don't get stuck in what has been done already.

buddhists try to cause as little death as possible-they believe that all life is sacred and equal-but they are also realist-knowing that to survive something else has to die-couldnt see one killing a creature for clothing unless necessary also couldnt see one throwing fur away and wasting what use can come out of it-just my opinion-lots of love old hippie here

Sure if they want to, even their olny plant eaters, they can wear fur, if it was made form non-buddhists?

Can they...yes. Are they supposed to...not if they truly believe. But this is just like some of the "Christian" that I know who have no problem lieing, stealing and cheating. They can do it but it goes against the religion that they claim.
