have you looked in either the fuse box, or near the steering column or behind the glove box?

there isn't any fuse for turn indicators. there is although a flasher unit positioned lower than the sprint. now and again that's positioned in the fuse panel. a short try is to modify the turn signal flasher with the 4 way flasher. If the turn indicators paintings, replace with proper flasher. in the adventure that they don't paintings, you probable choose a multifunction change (turn signal/wiper change).

my bro has a mustang from about that time... his flasher was on the passenger side of the car under the dash (took us forever to find it)... just lay in the floor and look around under the dash on both passenger and driver's sides...

I've never heard of a flasher being in the fuse box under the dash, but everyone else could be right there... it's worth a look
