Oh heck no if that was to happen it would be the ghetto of the USA. I read in an artitical a few week back where Vincente Fox of Mexico was talking to some people of Columbia saying that the Mexicans were going to over rule our government. Don't know how true the source really was but as daddy says talk is cheap.

Maybe but the government is as corrupt here as it is there, they just hide it better. As for everything else Mexico is a free country they do have all those rights. FYI the US has bigger drug problem than Mexico, more crime too.

It would seem that way at first, but merging two nations is basically impossible.

You'd have a HUGE increase in population, which also means a huge gap between the economic classes.

Also, name any other nation where 1/2 of the population can't speak the other major language?

Overall, it'd be a nightmare, plain and simple.

Mexico would be a lot better, but the USA as we know it would be a big pile of poo. Hell, isn't it enough that the biggest percentage of money coming into Mexico is coming from immigrants working in the United States? Vicente Fox is such a douche.

I think it would improve Mexico and maybe even the US but only if we all agreed on the type of country, government , etc that we would have. This is all just my belief but it would have to be very close to the way the US is currently run.

Hmmm ... we could invade them, take over the country, kick out the government, take over their oil and minerals ... since a large percentage of their population is here anyway, we wouldn't meet with any resistance ... and the 20 billion or so sent back to Mexico by Mexican immigrants, legal or illegal, would by default go back to American coffers ... so heck yeah!

mexico would definately be better, but america would turn to crap, less freedoms, less education, less security, more drugs, less drug laws, SO MUCH MORE CRIME IT WOULD MAKE YOUR HEAD SPIN. and the corruption, that would be out of control.

yes, and it would be the boon of the north American economy.
But less crime with that kind of traffic...? the police gang war situations would get to the stupid level.
More education, more political choices, and more land area to exploit. Lets do it.

Like Hawaii and Alaska did? They wanted to be free, make no mistake Mexico wants to colonize and reclaim. They can apply all they want to accept our constitution, but somehow more there than you think want to keep the Mexican one.
