This is an old family recipe. Slow cook the chops so that they are browned on both sides. (I use a teflon skillet and water, NO OIL). Once the chops are browned, and a large can of apricot halves in heavy syrup, turn the heat way down, and let them simmer until the apricots turn dark brown and the syrup carmelizes. It's a wonderful taste of sweet and tangy in one bite. I serve it with wild rice and sauteed asparagus.

German Pork Chops

Brown the pork chops in a skillet. Then place them in a casserole dish. Add one can of sauerkraut and 2 cubed green apples. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Bake at 350 for about 35 minutes or until the brown sugar is melted and the pork chops are done. Serve and enjoy!!

Good Luck!!!

I make this pork chop recipe quite often it is simple and tastes good.
6 to 8 pork chops
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 cup uncooked rice
3 cups water

In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish, combine the soup mix, rice and water. Place pork chops on top of the mixture. Spoon a little mixture on top of each chop. Cover tightly and bake in a 350° F. oven for 40 minutes; remove cover and cook for another 20 minutes.

My Favorite way to eat pork chops is this...
You brown up the pork chops in a frying pan. Then you put them into a casserole dish with cream of mushroom soup and a little milk (to thin the soup down). You want enough soup in the dish so that most of the meat is covered with it.
I usually make scalloped potatoes with this (in a separate dish) to complete the meal. The baking directions are on the back of that box so that you can cook the meat and potatoes at the same time. It is delicious!!
Once they are done cooking the pork chops are so tender that you can slice them easily with a fork.

Mountain Dew Pork Chops- My own creation.

2 cans of Mtn Dew
2 tablespoons garlic
a jar of chili sauce
1/2 teaspoon each: onion powder, lemon pepper, ginger

Combine all those in a bowl.

Now, saute your pork chops in some oil.
Pour on the above mix.
Let it simmer with a lid for about 30 min... until the soda and chili sauce make a nice thick sticky sauce.

I broil the pork chops until almost done (pink close to the bone). then i take cream of mushroom soup, broccoli cheese soup and green onion sliced thin. Mix all together and pour over pork chops. I bake for 30 Min's or until everything is hot and chops are done. I serve this over rice, or you can use any kind of pasta that suits you, hope this helps!
