That depends on how fast you go.
The equation to remember is is Distance = Rate * Time (D=R*T). Solving for T, you get T = D / R. So, going 147 miles at 65 miles per hour is going to take you 2.2 hours.
That's the math way. The easier way is to go to maps.google.com and ask there. It reported for me 178 miles (not 147) and about 3 hours 29 mins. You can give it exact addresses and it'll do even better.

It depends on if you're going 60mph or 80mph. I don't know where Muncie is, but it takes about four hours to get from Battle Creek to Chicago.

Well if you're traveling say 60mph non-stop, it will take you about 2 hours and 25 minutes, but if you were traveling about 40mph it would take you about 4 hours, so in between those times I say about 3 hours.
