His life and teachings resemble Buddhist teachings in a lot of ways.

Jesus must also have read the analects by Confucius as many of his teachings resemble those in the Analects.

Buddha "Consider others as yourself." (Dhammapada 10:1)

Confucius "what you don't want yourself, don't do to others" [Analects XV:24]

Jesus "Do to others as you would have them do to you." (Luke 6:31)

Is it strange that both the Buddha and Confucius lived hundreds of years before Jesus?

there is some actual speculation that one of jesus's relatives might have been a traveling merchant who might have exposed jesus to these teachings while he was young. i tend to believe that some how he was. jesus was a good man with some really great ideas about how we should all live, unfortunately people started a religion based on his teachings and then declared him to be a god and that's when all of the trouble began.

Jesus spent time all over the world. I don't know if you know this, but some time in the 80s I believe, the Catholic church was considering naming Buddah as a prophet of God. I never found out why they didn't.

If you look at the story of Buddah, you will see that it closely resembles the story of Christ. Buddah was a prince who had all these earthly riches, but he could see that they weren't doing him or the people any good. He shed his riches and walked among the people who were struggling and needing help. It's much the same as Jesus leaving the heavenly kingdom and coming to earth to help those who would listen.

Here's a song that the Spirit gave me to write for this situation:

Spread Your Love by Cal Jennings
(A knock at the door song.)

Ki, Chi, The Source, The Force, are just
Different names for God.
It's Really very simple,
But to you in may seem odd.

It's through the Holy spirit
That God spreads Jesus love.
So evr'yone let's all join hands
And spread peace from above.

The world is flled with hatred and war,
Greed, lust, violence, and sin.
We've got to fight a spiritual war
That first comes from within.

So if you call God Allah,
Buddah, Krishna, or Id,
It's time to come together in peace.
It's about time that we did.

Refrain:

Spread your love throughout the world.
Let your light shine bright.
It's time to break the darkness
And turn on our inner light.

So, you actually think that Jesus (the Son of God) had to get teaching styles from "men". Jesus didn't need to mimic others or learn from others. HE is Almighty and All-knowing. The world teachers and leaders mimic his teachings. The WORD of GOD has been here always. And you actually have proof to say that Buddha and Confucius lived before Jesus, I assume. Check this out ....

Can Budda and Confucius here your prayers, can they save your soul, can they deliver you (set you free from sins) or are either of the two say they are truly the Son of the Living God.

Since he created Budda I would not be surprized if you could find many of his positive attributes protrayed but I wonder what Budda would have thought of this passage of witnessed testimony of the teachings of Yahu'shua/Jesus:

Yachanon/John 14:6 Yahu'shua saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Yahu'shua taught absolute truth and followed his Father's instructions which required that we do not mix the intructions and worship of Yahu'eh the Father with idols or thier customs of worship, Dueteronomy chapters 12, 13, 18, and Matthew 5:17-20. So how does this fit in with Prodical Son's poetry ? Does this make you question which "spirit" gave this poetry to him?

There's no need for Jesus to have been a world traveler. Nor is there any evidence that during His sojourn on earth He was ever exposed to Buddhist or Confucianist philosophies.

As God is the One Who inscribed His law upon the hearts of ALL, the real wonder would be if NOBODY BUT the Jews ever had an inkling of a code of ethics and moral behavior.

Not China, India. Some people say he lived in Bangalore with his wife and children, and, yes he was a buddha (an enlightened one), and his teachings are very much in line with Buddhism and Hinduism or any esotheric belief for that matter. BUT WE CAN'T TALK ABOUT THAT STUFF!!! OOOOO. We may get a phone call from the local church! I must repent at once!
Check this and wonder:

I can definitely see that. In order to obtain wisdom, I'm sure Jesus traveled to many parts of the world. China is definitely not out of the question, neither is Nepal. But again, these beliefs are pretty universal, and therefore common knowledge. Jesus, the Buddha and Confucious had one thing that most people do not: influence.

These are all universal teachings....even a prophet who might preach to the world in the future will teach the same things as Buddha,Jesus etc did.
Do u know how similar the birth of Jesus is to the birth of Lord Krishna( a Hindu God).....but they lived millions of years apart....

There is speculation, because of these similarities, that He did spend some time there and in India, and possibly Japan. I don't know if there is any kind of evidence other than the behavior and teaching aspect to back this up. However, if one distills the basic tenets of the great religions of the world into a basic concept, it is some variation of "the Golden Rule."

Jesus probably did not visit China. His disciples have probably visited there to be witnesses.

Buddah and Confucius probably stole his teachings from the Gospels and reworded them to fit into a new religion.
