Depending on the state, some will allow the registration to serve as a title on cars at least 7 years old.

Go to the DMV and see if you can get a copy, bring some proof of ownership such asa valid registration. If worse comes to worse, you can always apply for a salvage title like the salvage yards do. Once you get that title, you can proceed to sell.

Before you can sell your car, you will need your title. Call your local DMV and they will tell you how to go about requesting a new title to your car.

You can request a copy of your title from the DMV. They charge a pretty penny for it but you may be able to include inthe price of your car. I would think this is the most legal way to go about it.

Yes but you will have to write to your state's DMV to get a copy of the title. I have had to do this before and it works.

not legally and anyone who would buy without a title is crazy cause it means it is still in your name, go to your local dmv with the v.i.n. # of the car and get a replacement it cost $10.00 in VA dont know about where you are

You can get a duplicate title and that will void the first one. Call the Department of Motor Vehicles to find out where to get it from.

I don't think so. Most times you need it to prove that the car is actually yours. I think you can get a new one though from the DMV.
