Sex offenders, drink driver killers, rapists all get short sentances what would you do to them if you could?

Isn't it sad that if you rob a firm of £1,0000,000 you get 20 years if you kill, interfere with a child or rape you are unlucky if you get 5 years. I say bring back capital punishment, what do you say?

Capital punishment is too quick and easy for some of the bastards in this world. Prison is seen as cushy with all 'rights' of prisoners being observed. Bring back forced labour and sentencing where life means life. Rapists and paedophiles should be chemically castrated. To keep the prison population down bring back corporal punishment, the lash or the birch, pain would be a real deterent. Bring back the stocks for less severe crimes. Start punishing criminals instead of worrying about their human rights, they don't consider the rights of their victims therefore should forfeit their own.

When there was capital punishment in the UK quite a few mistakes were made.Derek Bentley,Timothy Evans etc were innocent but were hanged.If the state hangs just one innocent person,that makes the state a murderer and the whole thing a nonsense.Can you imagine being in their shoes...innocent but going to die anyway?...No,a return to capital punishment is wrong.

HOWEVER! Rapists,murderers,paedophiles,and other criminals offending in the most serious crimes should get life that means 'life'. Not only that,but it should come with hard labour....Everyday they should be made to work till they drop and know that this regime will go on until they die in the prison.
Most of these criminals don't really care about life anyway,so why give them the easy option of the death penalty?

If they don't want to spend the rest of their natural life breaking rocks then they can commit suicide, so they ultimately have the death penalty anyway.But I don't want any innocent person whose suffered a miscarriage of justice(and there's been a lot) being put to death in my name.

I think that rapists deserve an operation to remove the offending weapon, if you shoot someone with a gun do they leave it with u, no! At the very least everyone should be notified that the person is a rapist. I would like to see an Internet site with names and photos of all rapists. (I have heard in some countries u lose your hand for stealing, nobody steals!) so this would work.
If you kill someone after drink driving at the very least you should lose the right to drive for the rest of your life.
I'm really tired of hearing about the right of the criminal, what about the victim!

i dont like the idea of capital punishment-however, what i think is every person that takes the life of an innocent person (,and there is sufficient dna evidence,to prove it.)should be taken to a hospital and have thier vital organs removed and used -so they can save the lives of innocent people who are on waiting lists for hearts/lungs etc.
at the moment the likes of ian huntley are being kept alive in conditions that alot of people in the uk are not lucky enough to have,like 3 meals a day, warmth during winter,etc.
why should someone so evil be allowed to live....

I live in a state that allows capital punishment..and it is used often.

I am for the death penalty, but, I think every person who is on death row, or sentenced to death..should be offered DNA testing...it has been used to prove the innocence of some on death row..and some in prison for sexual related offenses....I want to make sure every person has the opportunity to prove their innocence or guilt.

If it is prov-en that a person is guilty of murder..they should recv death..all sexual predators..should be given life..without parole.
Sexual assault on an adult..automatic15 years..( and must serve all 15 years...no time off for good behavior..etc..

At least for child sex offenders, I want them all dropped off on an Island in the middle of no where. Maybe we could put the Al Quada men there with them.

Sex Offenders -- Give them a sex change and send them to areas of the world where they are rated just higher than farm animals.
Drunk Driver Killers -- Incarcinate them and get them medical help.
Rapists -- Execution time.

More Executions means less criminals on the street. A Dead Criminal does not repeat his crime.

if you take a life(not in defense, but just to kill), you lost the right to yours. Rapists & molesters should spend their lives behind bars with the only time out being to build, clean or otherwise work for the state. It seems as if criminals get more rights than victims. so called "white collar" crimes like embezzlement shouldn't get prison sentences, but severe fines and community service. In US, you can get more time for personal possession of marijuana(not enough to sell) than for murdering someone. In my state, IL, a guy only got 3 years for murdering a 43-day-old baby, but someone got 15 years for personal possession!!

I think an eye for an eye is not a bad system.
Murder should have the death penalty.
Rape should mean instant castration.
Child molestation should be the above plus life in prison.
Some "lesser" crimes could mean long jail terms plus tattooing - the name of the crime (theft etc) on the forehead so that everyone instantly knows.

I'd remove the genitals of all rapists and other sex offenders, and cut off the hands of killer drink drivers. Death is too good for them.
