I would say that the other answers are okay to a point but, do not be fooled to think all women want a guy with money only because believe me a real woman wants it all and when I say all I mean, the whole nine yards:
Money is not number one but, since it has been said let's just start there;
A Sense of Humor is needed to make her smile & laugh;
A Brain, because all women are not dumb blondes(just a figure of speech, no disrepect attended to blondes).
A Great Lover, He don't have to be a superman or anything, just need to know what she likes.
Patiences,Strong, & Gentle, All of those speak for them selves.
Looks, Well Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so that will never be the same for anyone.
Have Goals in Life, A Man who knows what he wants and know how to get there, is always a plus, But behind ever Good Man there is a Great woman, don't believe me look it up.
Now that is what I say is the ideal man for most if not all women.

FIRST AND FOREMOST- YOU HAVE TO BE A REAL WOMEN TO KNOW and IDENTIFY THE IDEAL MAN!
An ideal man is a real man. Someone who knows who he is and what he wants from life. Once he makes a decision he sticks by that decision and supports it through its growth whether it be children, relationships, education or employment. A real man knows how to express himself to a women and all others. He know how to get respect as a man. That means he can communicate with out yelling, hitting, or fighting. He knows that his words are powerful and to get what he wants from life and others he must clearly be able to use them to affect others way of thinking. A man knows how to love those around him whether it be male of female. Love, kindness, and being able to forgive are GODLY features of a man.
The ideal man is what everyone should strive for. It is the man every REAL women needs. It is important that women do not settle for any man that is not ideal. And what is absolutely imparative ... do not have children with a man who is not idea.
We have enough ignorant men pretending to be fathers and teaching there children exactly what the worst man is like.
IDEAL men strive for sucess in every way in there life and give back to the world positive energy which it can feed on.

That's about as personal and varied as their are people in the world. It depends on the needs, wants, desires of the woman. I think honesty has to rate really high on every woman's meter 'cause we need to know that our guy is being straight with us. Compassionate would be very high too, 'cause we want him to care about our needs, as well as others around him. Commitment should be strong too, 'cause he needs to stick with whatever he promises, even when times are tough (and they always are, at times). Personally, my guy has to be strong in his faith, otherwise he'll fall for anything and be easily swayed. He would need to be a strong provider, meaning he has a job. It doesn't matter if it's shoveling poop or driving a taxi, as long as it's a job. A man needs to stand on his own two feet, not depending on others to support his sorry butt. I'm not being sexist. It's just true. If a man doesn't work, he gets into trouble, bringing down everyone around him. I think all the rest of what women consider ideal would be up to the individual woman. My guy has blue eyes (my requirement!), dimples, brown wavy hair, six feet tall and wide cheeks (not his butt ladies!!). He's all that I ever wanted in a man...and more. He drives a school bus and he rides a motorcycle (we ride!). He's a good provider, working most of his life. We go to church together, pray together, and study the Bible together. We drink coffee on our porch together, before going to bed. We talk about everything and nothing at all. We share everything (no secrets ladies). I would think, that after almost 29 years of marriage, I've learned a few things. But, I'm still learning. <*)))><

I I know this answer!!!!!He should be able to talk to you about everything life dish's out. He should go shopping with you to tell you when you try on that perfect dress ect...he should be there when life hands you lemons to make lemonade out of it, He should have morals and respect you for takingtime to make a commitement to him. You should know that you are the first thing he thinks of when he wakes up and the last when he goes to sleep. It should be over the top explosive,thrilling as a rollercoaster feeling you and he both experience before you say I will...He could be anywhere, keep your eyes open.....I did and it works..Happily married 18 years
