What happened to your ability to communicate? I mean, why can't you type out 'you', or put in commas, or just look over the sentence to see if it makes any sense at all. Some of these questions look like someone just smashing their face against the keyboard. If you really want an answer, why can't you type it in a reasonable, mature manner? This is not cybersex-answer-talk, is it?

I second that! Should someone start a petition? I think there should be a new category for people who intend to capitalize the first letter of a sentence and use punctuation. I know the "shift" key is way over on the left side of the keyboard, but I cannot bring myself to believe that everyone on Yahoo! Answers has stubby fingers that can't reach it.

I have noticed that since I have been online there has been a progression toward the decline of the written language as we know it. It may be just a trend, it may be the way that we will eventually communicate. Everyone wants to be the first to answer a question. No-one thinks about how it will look if they make a few grammatical errors or punctuation faux pas'. I just answer the questions I know answers to and I am not in the pursuit of the all time high score. I think some of the questions are valid and I get to choose which ones I answer.

Well...
seeing as how most people are not so well in the spelling and grammar area, this sort of online short hand is much more convenient and understandable, not to mention widely accepted and commonplace.
As for the smashing of the face into the keyboard, I think it'd look more like this.... ok I'm not actually going to do it, but you get the point. :P

lazyness, not knowing how to spell, not knowing proper grammar, too many drugs and too much alchohol, and many many blows to the head account for this for most people
