Paradise means a "garden. pleasure ground: grove, park"--"a ground enclosure or preserve...shady and well watered...enclosed by walls" (Thayer's Greek English Lexicon of the New Testament). Paradise is located in the presence of God's throne in heaven (2Cor.12:1-4).
