Mostly I'm here because of libellous questions like this that demand a response. The question you asked before this is very tolerant. The question you asked after this is very tolerant. What happened in the middle?
Can you not see why overgeneralisations and abuse like this 'tick off' good atheists as much as the questions (whatever they are) that seem to anger you?
Life is a quest for the truth, and it is a journey that everyone is on. Being closed-minded and unaccepting will help no-one. Can you not see why 'may you find God' is an insulting question to me and my people? How would you feel if I told you 'may you lose God'? Would it sound like a curse? A condemnation? Disrespect?
How do you think we feel?

Yes, people make the personal choice not to believe in God just so they can tick off you. Stop taking it personal because it isn't and has nothing to do with you. I believe in God ( not the Christian God but my own personal connection with a conscious energy) Talking with some of the atheist on here has helped me confirm my beliefs and made me question some of my others. Everyone is searching for their own answer to their personal questions. If you see a Q or A that bothers you just ignore it and roll right past. Focus on the positive people and post that feel good to you and leave the others behind. You will have a better experience here and in life in general. Allow people to believe and live as they choose just as you would like that same respect.

Atheism is a form of religion, is it not? It requires faith, just as much as Christianity. Faith that God doesn't exist.
Besides, isn't the core belief in Christianity, love? You're not making a great impression on your religion.
Atheists don't believe in God, because there is no scientific evidence to explain God. There isn't anything really, besides the Bible, which some consider fiction, due to the fact that humans have been allowed to translate and interpret it.
So, atheists have as much of a right to be in this section as Christians do. Have a nice day!

Aw, I thought you christians were supposed to love everybody no matter what they believe or do to you -- but you get ticked off at the non-believers? Not very christian of you...
Belief that there is no god is just as tenable (even more so) as the belief that there is a god. If you don't want to rationally debate the existence of god, the apparent contradictions within religions, and the issues of religion in the world today, then don't -- but don't get mad at other people for doing so.

First I must say that I am not an Atheist yet I have to respect Their RIGHT to not Believe JUST as much as Your RIGHT to Believe. Should that Right be taken away then Christianity would also have to be Dissolved. So you make the choice that is right for you; live and let live. Don't condemn anyone for their beliefs or lack of. Oh and by the way does your God let you talk that way? Mine says if your thinking it then you may as well go ahead and do it because you've committed the sin in your heart already.

I'm a Christian, and I am not "ticked off" by atheists. I love it when they ask questions, because it means they are thinking. And if they are thinking, they are not beyond hope. Personally, I think atheists who are questioning Christians are being attracted by the LIGHT...whether they realize it or not, and that makes me happy. Don't be afraid to answer their questions (civilly, lol)...who knows? Show them some of God's love and grace, and you may actually help them find Truth...you may actually help YOURSELF find God!
If having an atheist question your faith bothers you, perhaps you need to re-examine your faith?

We do it just to tick you off. It's true. It's also true that the checkout line at the supermarket slows to a snail's pace just when YOU join it; traffic jams only happen when YOU are in a hurry to get somewhere; and sudden thunderstorms make YOU wet while leaving the rest of the world dry as toast.
We were just wondering when you would catch on to this deep and abiding truth. Congratulations.

Because we have a duty and a responsibility to challenge the absurdity of religious belief and to work towards a better world by helping to eradicate it. We need to bring reason and enlightenment to a world which is still in many places mired in irrationality and superstition. Above all, we absolutely must continue and build upon the efforts of those courageous atheists in history who suffered persecution, torture and death to bring us the freedoms that most of us take entirely for granted today. We cannot, must not, let the world slip back to the Dark Ages.
That's why.

This section if called "religion & SPIRITUALITY". I realize in your smallmindedness you think that means christians only, but there are other religions in this world, and has been said many times on this section some consider atheism a form of religion. And certainly atheists have a right to express their views for all to read just as you do. Or are you saying you don't think we should be able to? Are you saying that you, as a christian, do not think other religions should exist and should be squashed??
And please stop wishing your scourge on me, I don't do that to you.

Cause atheists' questions usually deal with the non-existence of God. Therefore, they post here trying to convince us that we are wrong. I'm not ticked. I don't really care whether or not they believe. I'm not going to convince them to believe and they're not going to convince me not to.
