that is a really tough question and you won't get a decent answer here, because it requires a lot of research and study to get all the truths.
basically, it's
1. monotheistic
2. requires belief in prophets, angels, judgment day, prayers, fasting, reading of the holy books, support of the poor and needy, pilgrimage to Mecca.
3. it is a way of life as each and everything you do revolves around doing God's will for the betterment of fellow humans
4. it is a continuation of the Jewish and Christian religions as those who practice Islam must accept that Moses and Jesus were God's messengers too.

Islam is a religion based on the teachings of a man named Mohammed. To some people, it is the best religions, to others it is the worst, and to others, they have no opinion about it. It all depends on how you view the religion.

Every Religion is the best to the people who subscribe to it. We usually choose the Religion of our Parents and the Environment in which we lived as children. So to the Muslims yes, of course their religion is the best. I myself see no harm in thinking your religion is best, as each man must have his own beliefs.

Read a critical history on Islam. Mohammad was a criminal. He taught it was okay to kill and steal and lie in the name of Allah. If that seems best to you-then knock yourself out.

Well, that depends. If you are islamic you will say that it is the best. If your family or your friends have been blown by islamics, then you will say that it is the worst
