Just give him a good bath, buy a soap, they are not expensive.

Please go to a pet store and get a flea shampoo and give the cat a flea dip. Unfortunatley, however, without continued treatment, the fleas will just come back. If you really wish to help out this stray kitty, get some Frontline online and after the flea dip, use this topical treatment to prevent further infestations.

Flea shampoo and flea collars shouldn't be used before an animal is 6 months old.
I worked at GNC and found out that brewers yeast mixed into their food makes their blood toxic to fleas. it won't hurt the cat and its pretty cheap too.

You may have to spend a little $, go to the grocery store or Wal Mart, or drug store, whatever is cheapest where you live, and get some flea shampoo, they have some for cats that doesn't use water, just rub it in and leave it. Also, it probably has worms, that's why its so skinny. Get some de-wormer , too.

You can try using olive oil or mineral oil, apply to cat and the fleas are smothered. Then shampoo out the excess. Cat will look oily for a period but will come out.

mix some rubbing alcohol and water and soak a washcloth in it,ring and rub across cat starting at the neck and work your way to the tail. don't use on its face and u have to be really carefull but it will kill the fleas. don't start by the tail or all the fleas will ru towards its face and they will pile up on its head where you can't use the alcohol.

This cat needs professional care. Call or go online to Friends of Animals and ask them to send you a coupon to take it to the vet to get it neutered and checked out. Extreme thinness can be a sign of disease - feline leukemia or FIV (not contagious to humans) or of worm infestation. This poor little soul needs your help.
Do NOT use chemical on it beyond giving it a bath with plain soap. It is too young.

comb them off with a flea comb, its quite tedious but it will work in the log run. Bath cat with mild soap & water to get the flea eggs off.

If you keep a stray like that you better have some money, otherwise let it go.
