i want to b a famous actress soooooooooo bad. i don't think anyone knows how bad i want to. i am still a kid and i live way away from CA and NY (but i am still in North America) and my parents say that we can't move. i am already in a theaer gruop and i can't do any school plays because i am homeschooled. i know that i need an agent, but i don't know how to get one. does anyone know of any websites (besides starsearchcasting.com. i've tried it) or anything like that. and if you tell me to send something in to a company, could u give me the adress and/or phone#.
please!! i don't want to have to wait until i'm 18 to move out and do it all by myself.

Find a local casting agency. Depending on where in NY you live, there should be a few. Every major city has them (Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo).
Stick to the theater, and get started with a casting agency doing local commercials and things like that. Work hard, don't give up. Save up money to put a portfolio of headshots and video clips together.

First you do not need an agent. not yet anyway. Before you become a famous actress you must become a proffesional actress, and that means getting paid. How do you do that? Try the local theater groups and I mean the ones that sell tickets for more than $5. Also (and more importantly) do you want to act or be famous? Acting isnt easy. It is involves long and hard hours of doing the same thing over and over and over again. It is truly hard work and not all parties and Prada. Acting is a passion for all great actors and they would still do it even if the were not getting paid. So re-asses why you want to do this and as I say try getting paid first before spending ANY money on an agent , pictures etc. Hope this helps.

DBD....something to always live by. Don't be Dumb. Don't just go around giving your name and address to anyone. That's is the craziest thing to do. You can get hurt out here and don't be gullible. I don't know how old you are, but you have to be patient. I know you want to act really bad and that's a great dream, but first you have to know what you are willing to do and what you are not willing to do. Listen to you parents, contrary to popular belief, they most likely want what is best for you. You need to wait until you are an adult, this is not a fairy tale world and trying to live on your own underage without and education and money is crazy!
NO PORN! Dont' listen to that garbage! Don't pay for anything. If you have to pay, it's probably not worth it. Look into Disney stuff and see if they have anything. Read books, practice and be patient. Pray, if this is for you it will be. Also, find another hobby. You always have to have something to fall back on if this doesn't work out. If it does and you become famous and such, remember the little people, don't forget God and help others that are in need like you are in need now! :) Good luck and God bless!

First off, get an education first. You will need to support yourself while you are waiting to be discovered.
Second, be prepared to show it all. Most of the big-time stars did roles(that they regret today) that involved nudity and/or sex.
You are not the first nor the last person who wanted to be famous more than anything else. If you decide to move here to California or to New York, you had better have a good job lined up as they are #1 & 2 for the most expensive places to live in the country. If you ever go to Southern California you will find that almost all the waiters/waitresses and most people working at Starbucks are actors/actresses.

Real acting? Plays are real. More real than a movie, in my opinion. Actors are more respected if they've been in plays, because plays involve a lot of work and improvisation, whereas a scene in a movie can be reshot.
If you are homeschooled, try out for community theatre. There are many very respectable screen actors who started out in community, so don't slam plays.
Try out for commercials, and go to any casting call you can. They're all over the country. They will be advertised in city newspapers as to time and place. You may have to go to a major city to do so though. You could also go to talent contests and public performance nights.
Lastly, have patience. If you don't, you could wind up with crappy parts and end up burning yourself out on acting. Patience is a virtue, especially in the entertainment business. Sometimes you have to wait quite a few years before you can break out into acting.

In many communities there are local non profit community theaters. Check with city hall. You may be able to get started in local theatrical work.
Be warned. Most Hollywood types are not religious.

You could also look for local video producer. Many times they do local movies and need an actor. Just watch out for porn. Ask them is you can bring a parent along. That normaly kills a porn deal.

You can start by acting like an adult. Be patient. Read. Learn.
Actors are educated people. Maybe not well rounded, but none-the-less educated. The good ones anyway. Want to be a star?
Get into porn. No resume required.

This is not about religion or spirituality, you need the entertainment catagory, and besides that you live in your parents house you have to obey their rules, and if you are not an illegal adult then there is nothing you can do, until you are 18 you just have to deal with what your parents say.

Start out at twenty... until then read and watch to learn all you can...

Start with a nice brass pole if you want to get into show-biz. This will help with the dance techiniques and help you ease your way into nudity and performing on front of others...
