He's a bit too old to be doing such a thing. The problem is that his stupid parents, especially his mother spoil him rotten.

They also need to be reported to child welfare for spoiling the child. He doesn't have any bit of discipline and is very disrespectful to people. I don't even like being around him he is that bad.

Well, you shouldn't spoil your child. But I think spanking is a little to harsh for a child wanting to be with his parents. It sends off the wrong signal. You sister can talk to him and be consistent that he needs to sleep in his own bed.

No but his parents most definitely need a spanking! They are handicapping this poor child. He should have been sleeping in his own bed. Obviously his parents couldn't have a stable relationship.

One good thing that may come out of it is that the parents won't be having any children anytime soon, that is unless they actually have sex while the child is in the bed with them. In that case, they not only need a spanking but they need to be reported to child welfare!

In the old country, there was only one bed because there was usually one room. It is not unnatural. No, don't spank the child because the parents screw up. Just carry the child back to bed and then just lock the door. If he comes to the door crying, escort the child to his own bed. Will be a long time to break this habit for the child and the mother. If it's just morning cuddles, there's nothing at all wrong with that...maybe should stop around adolencent age tho.

NO!!!! the child shouldn't be spanked...I think the parents may need some sort of parenting classes tho. If they allow that behaivor to continue (especially being spoiled) then they'll have some major problems come his teen years. But some people never learn til they experience it.

No don't spank him because he isn't doing anything wrong. His parents are. They need to break him of this habit. Let him fall asleep in their bed, then take him to his own. It will take a couple of weeks to get him used to it & he'll have relapses & want to sleep w/ mom & dad again. Just be patient & stick w/ it. If the parents aren't willing to break him of this habit, alert the school & they'll have child protective services come in. It's not in the best interest of the child, or the parents, for the boy to still sleep w/ them at his age.

I don't think spanking a child for wanting to sleep with his parents is the right thing to do, but letting him isn't right either. They should talk to him and explain to him that he has to sleep in his own bed and insist that he do it.

Spanking? Why?The parents are obviosly allowing this behavior to continue so why should the child be punished? The parents indeed should put their foot down and be firm, but spanking is not the solution.

No! No spanking for the child. The parents deserve the spanking because they're not strong enough to tell the boy to go to his own bed. And that boy has only one name........ Mama's Boy.

I agree with the general concensus here, he is too old to be sleeping with his parents; however spanking a child because he wants to be with his parents is too harsh.

7 is a little old to b slipping with ur parents but he shouldn't be disciplined for that. he shouldn't be spanked cuz that would most likely turn him against his parents but he should be scolded when he does bad things like talk back to adults
