How can these same religions who profess this statement then in the same breath also state that God hates gays or blacks or Jews? If all of the people who "love" God would show it in actions rather than shout it in hatred maybe there would be a little less violence in the world. Shouldn't God be the judge of our character and not man?

Let me add that as stated I know God is forgiving and that is the only one I will worry about. I said "people" using their religion to essentially preach their hatred. Yes, God loves the sinner, not the sin but there are "religions" that hold rallies, protesting at funerals no less, shouting their hate slogans, yet in the same breath yelling "get right with God". These are the people I have issue with and sadly there are many. There are too many issues within the bible to debate here. I was hoping to open eyes that maybe since we are all human, maybe show a little more love and a little less hate.

We must not judge, that is for God only to do. Those of us who do, show our imperfection. Becoming God's servant is not easy. If it were we would all achieve perfection in this lifetime.
Learning to be humble and accepting of others is our biggest hurdle. People who say they know what God dislikes or likes to suit their own agenda are ignorant. The most important thing to remember is that they acknowledge God and that does please Him.

Your question is almost contradictory. Yes, God is love but down here on earth we have always been messing it up. Can any person anywhere, involved in any organization say otherwise. I don't think so, but why do all the christians have to be perfect, why are they always the target of people's misery. Blasting a christian is not a good enough reason for an unbelievers jugdement, in the same way that a believers judging of others actions will become his own type of judgement one day. Listen you can't change the whole world, you can only start by trying to change yourself and having an impact on those around you, but did you know that it really doesn't matter what you do or say, somebody ,certain types of people will always find flaws in what you are doing with your life............sad but true.

You won't find a single scripture in any of these various religious teachings that states "God HATES Gays, Blacks or Jews."
However, God does detest a sinful lifestyle. God also detests certain "acts" as an abomination. God gave us free will, so it's our choice to either follow God's word or to turn from the truth and go their own way. Ultimately, they will have to deal with the consequences of their actions.
Possibly the most controversial comment you've made is regarding the Gay lifestyle. Many may dispute the scriptures of Lev 18:22, 20:13 (which I paraphrase) that a man shouldn't lay with another man, but this is God's law, whether we like it or not.
Finally, your comment of "Shouldn't God be the judge of our character and not man?"
Frankly, he's the judge of our character AND the MAN. This is his prerogative, after all he made us and has provide the guide for us to live our lived by. But God didn't want a machine, that's why WE have free will. It's our choice, but we will have to one day, "settle accounts"

That is correct, God should be the judge of us and not man. However, God did say that homosexuality is a detestable sin. He doesn't care about people's skin color!
I think this is what people miss... Being a Christian doesn't mean you are perfect. There is sin in everyone, whether christian or not! A lot of Christians just don't realize "Hey, if I say God hates gays then that will reflect on God and make me look like a hypocrit".
Christians should always be aware of their actions and things they say so that in all circumstances they can glorify God.

Christianity never says god hates gays, blacks, or anyone. Jesus was forgiving and loving to all. By the way, God gives us a choice. What happens on earth is the doing of humans, not god. God has made clear what is right, and what we do is our responsibility.

Why is there so much hate and false judgment going on here on earth?
Matthew 4:6 the Devil said to him: " I will give you all this authority and the glory of them, because it has been delivered to ME, and to whomever I wish I give it." This, after showing Jesus all the kingdoms of the earth in an instant of time.
Rev. 12:12 'Woe for the earth, and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.'
John 13:35 'By this ALL will know you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.'
Acts 10:34,35 '..'I perceive God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.'..
Rev 20:13 ..and they were judged individually according to their deeds.
God loves all men. God hates sin. The devil promotes division and evil. Jesus judges according to the Father's standards. True disciples of Jesus obey him.

Yes, God should be the judge of our character. Alot of people do not judge themselves or others by God's standard. We are human beings bombarded with the negative influences of God's enemy satan. He doesn't care if people profess love for God. It's his job to keep people from living for God. God says that if we love him we will obey him. Obeying God requires loving others. Check out I Corinthians 13, it gives God's definition of love. It takes a life time to learn to live all those characterisics and if people would apply themselves to learning it they would have less time to judge or hate anyone.

Oddly enough I don't hear too many people making these statements. Now God does hate sin. But He loves the sinner; that is undebateable. He sent His Son to die on the cross to save you and me and everyone.

Most definitely because He is the one true judge...Some Christians have it backwards, that just because they have Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour, they can judge the World...But guess what, we were not granted that permission...and its sad! But as a Christian, I feel as though it is my duty to minister and witness to people who are confused about life...but never will I ever judge somone for being different.

The problem isn't with God who judges and loves perfectly. The problem is with men and women who try to do both and are able to do neither.
Be careful not to blame God for the actions of sinful men.
Be careful also to understand that while His love for us is uncondintional, our relationship with Him is not. We cannot continue to willfully sin and expect to enjoy His presence in our lives. Neither can we choose to reject Him as Lord of our lives and then expect Him to ignore our decision to want to be without Him. Although it grieves His heart, He will certainly honor your decision with continued seperation from Him for eternity.... also known as Hell.
So choose today whom you will serve.. As for me and my house we choose to serve the Lord.
