Girl , are you sure you want to get married. Cause a determined wife to be would have everything ready already. Why you taking so long to get things done. Are you thikning about it twice. You need to take a breath, relax, and do the most important things first, like dress, cake , things like that. maybe you can ask someone for help. Dont worry everything will come out great.

Pull together what you can. Visit various wedding planning sites to help remind you of what to get done. Don't expect a big turn out. Wedding invitations typically go out six weeks before and might not get there in time. People will probably already have plans. Your dress can't be ordered - you are going to have to settle for a little less then traditional if that's what you wanted. It takes anywhere from a month to three months to get a dress ordered in from a bridal boutique. Flowers will have to be seasonal but luckily there are no big holidays in the next couple weeks so you should have a good selection.

All in all, the wedding is secondary to the marriage. If I were you I would go to the justice of the peace and give myself time to plan a wedding if that's what I really wanted. Or even better reschedule. I mean God almighty what took you so long? If you are going to do it do it right. Can we say procrastination?

Your question is too vague to really give helpful advice. Did you just decide to get married in 2 weeks without informing your guests, if any? Or did you inform guests 5 months ago and you didn't do any arrangements at all? It also depends on your budget and what kind of wedding you want and expect. The easiest way to get married without any waiting periods or blood tests would be to either fly or drive to Las Vegas. There is a strip full of wedding chapels (yes they're legitimate) where you can choose any theme want and most of them will have everything set for you. Or you can just get married at the marriage office that's right across the marriage license bureau and it's the cheapest and it's open 24 hours. They provide witnesses for you if this is a spur of the moment thing. Or you can ask anybody like strangers to be your witness and you don't necessarily have to know them.

I've had nightmares that started like this.....

No, seriously. How big is this thing? Are people invited? Can you reschedule? Have you booked a venue? By "don't have anything ready" what did you mean. Because there are literally some things you just can't do in two weeks. Why did you wait so long? I'm sure you're not going to vote for my answer, but holy cow, I would reschedule it. Or give us more details and maybe we can help. But with this, we can not help. And I used to plan weddings.

Shouldn't marriage be about the commitment of two people and the love, the bows, etc... and not the show ... I mean wedding you put on?

My solution, I would say don't worry about not having anything ready and just go to Vegas and get married there.

Get your wedding dress, shoes, make hair appointment - get nails done, call florist for your bouquet, have bakery to do your cake, (have a friend or friends help you get dressed and then do your make up.) Make sure groom has tux rented.
Get married by the local magistrate and have a nice reception somewhere else --- at a friend or family member's home...they can do a good punch and serve a lite luncheon.

Asign each family member and freind to do something. Each night check off what you have done, and set yourself new, resonable goals. Don't freak, remember this is to join you and your love together, its all about you two, not what flowers you have... Like I can talk, I'm getting married in September next year and I'm already organizing. But in your situation. Get the most important done. I use this website called "theknot" its fab!

Go get married in City Hall and then maybe you'd be better of to reschedule the church ceremony and get it all together by that date
