It seems like climbing a steep rock if you have none to turn to for an answer. It is also sad to sit without engaging yourself yet you have a lot to offer to the mankind. This is ginuine, I would rather offer my services for free than let opportunities to make a difference elapse.

Well, what's your situation? Are you living in the UK already? UK citizen?

As a UK citizen you could work anywhere in the whole European Community plus Norway and Switzerland, voluntary or not.

Not unless you have a UK recognised qualification, assuming you do any org would still need to check your references before you could be let lose. Why not try the Red Cross or Oxfam

If you're serious about doing volunteer work, why don't you consider becoming a doctor without borders! Travel to El Salvador. It would be so much for you and you get to help a lot of people who could really use your help! There's tons of things to do and tons of people to help out! If you really want to make a difference, come to my country!!! =)

working in NHS in the UK is like working for a voluntary service.....
