They're nice...I like them...especially if you put honey on them before you roast them. Yum!

Don't be so hard on parsnips man, give them a chance... I like them a lot, precisely because they are so sweet. How could they be wrong?
Cucumber, I believe, is the devil's own food. It smells evil, and it tastes of evil. They also seem to infiltrate every other dish somehow, pretending to be garnish, when really all they do is put me off the meal. We must be alert to the evil of the cucumber! In comparison, if I get a parsnip rather than a roast potato, I'm rather pleased.
That's why I say, more parsnips, less cucumber!

I totally agree with you... i've made the potato/parsnip mistake more than once and it's unfair, especially when u save a really crispy one til last n then get the sweet sickly taste of a parsnip instead. AND they're all stringy inside. YUK. I hate them almost as much as i hate carrots, at least they're orange tho so give u a good warning!

I like parsnips (mwahahahaha >-) )
They are like sweet potatoes, but paler and slightly different taste.
I suppose they make up for the components of a Sunday Roast that aren't quite as tasty. And a tasty contribution to my 5 a day.

Parsnips are in fact 'stunt potatoes'........that's where their streamlined shape comes from....parsnips are much better at parachuting than potatoes and in every James Bond film,a parsnip has been used as the potato double.
