I can understand your fear but the shots are not as bad as you think. What is making things worse is all the time you have to think about it. All babies in the USA and UK have these jabs or similar ones when they are only a few months old and they survive! I don't know whether you have had bad memories from previous jabs but go with your mum or some one to support you and you never know, it may turn out to be a lot better than you feared.
Secondly, meningitis can spread very rapidly in schools so it pays if you have had the jab. This is because meningitis is a medical emergency and if it is a bad one your chances of survival will be maybe 50%. The complications are really nasty and can include you being deaf etc. or losing limbs or ending up with a stroke with half your body paralyzed.
When you consider all this, a little jab is the lesser of two evils. I am sure you are a very brave person. You will be OK. Let the medical staff know you are scared and they will be very helpful as well

I just got a meningitis shot. It doesnt hurt anymore then a regular shot and its all in your head seriously. The shot itself does not hurt it will be a little sore the next day but you will be fine

Sounds like u don't have a choice. The shot doesn't hurt at all. Has mom had one? Maybe suggest her getting hers too. That ought to take your mind off of it. LOL

First of all I had no idea they even had a shot for it, how affective is it? Shots do suck but just sit there and get it, its over in seconds. Its like jumping into a pool just JUMP in, its only cold at first.

pay no attention and look away.
All you really feel is a little rick.
After the shot...rub where the shot was to help crculation or else it might hurt some.
But dont worry about it.

Dont be afraid. They dont hurt at all. Just stay lose when youre getting it. If you stay stiff and all nervous it will hurt more.
