I have had a part wolf as a pet before. She was beautiful and as sweet as could be. Her name was Nala. There was nothing wrong with her.

Wolf Hybrid
(Wolf Hybred) (Wolf Dogs)

Wolf / Domestic Dog cross

The Wolf Hybrid is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between a Domestic Dog and a Wolf. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Anyone owning a Wolf Hybrid should read these two pages and follow the information to a tee. Top Dog and Establishing and Keeping Alpha Position.

Temperament
A Wolf-hybrid can be quite skittish and does not respond well to inanimate objects, fast motion, loud noises, or new people. They require much patience. Training is not for the weak and serious consideration should be given prior to obtaining a wolf-hybrid dog as they require firm, consistent training and ample space to roam. If there's something you find foul and offensive.

Woah, wait a minute!! Why would you do that? Wolves are not domestic, they are wild animals. Even if its a half-breed, it's not going to be like any other dog, you can't control him. Many people make this mistake and the animal ends up being put down. I strongly advise against it. If you are determined to follow through with it please at least research it and understand what you are getting yourself into. You won't have a domesticated dog, those are developed over centuries of careful breeding. You'll have a unpredictable part wild animal. Please please get information on it before you do anything. Imagine losing everything if your wild wolf gets out and mauls or bites a kid or person, or kills someones pet.

Why would you do this? Wolf/hybrids are number 1 on the most likely to bite list by the Humane Society.

Well yes you could, even if you had to do an AI, I would be terribly worried about the temperament of the resulting puppies though. I want the record to show that I am against this strongly. If you sold the puppies you could have a very large lawsuit on your hands, not to mention having to take the lives of innocent animals.

Oh, and on top of all of the above answers, you just won't find a legitimate sale of a full-blooded wolf, or even the use of one. Thank goodness. Leave them in the woods where they belong. They don't want to be pets.

Physically, yes they can breed and reproduce. In most states it is illegal to own wolf hybrids. Wolves are wild animals and their offspring are as well - mixed or not. Wolves should be left in the wild where they belong.
