About every 4 weeks to keep it healthy.

It depends of your hair type and what you're trying to do with it.
A good rule of thumb is once every 4 weeks for natural hair(no hair dye, perm, relaxer) If you do any of the mentioned, trim after any process done to your hair. Might I also recomend that you do a deep conditioning treatment after every hair trim. You're probably going to wash your hair anyway to remove all the little pieces stuck to you, so use a little boost for your hair. Use a rich conditioning cream or oil, anything your hear desires. Leave it in for about 10 to 15 minutes and then shampoo and condition with your regulars. It will keep it strong, and you can change to a trim every 6 to 8 weeks if your hair is strong. By the way, I like to rotate my shampoo/conditioners sets, so I trim afer I finish every bottle. My three favorites are: Paul Mitchell super strong, Garnier Fructis long and strong, and Aussie super moisturising.

The general rule is every 6 weeks, but you can go anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks for it to be healthy.

Roughly every 6 weeks or so, sometimes more or less depending on your lifestyle and how fast your hair grows.

HONESTLY, YOU DONT HAVE TO TRIM YOUR HAIR. ITS MORE OF AN APPEARANCE THING TO BE HONEST, I JUST DO IT WHENEVER I FEEL THE URGE.AS LONG AS YOU KEEP YOUR HAIR MOISTURIZED AND DONT LET IT GET DRY AND BRITTLE, YOU COULD GO A LONG TIME WITHOUT GETTING IT TRIMMED. LETTING IT GET DRY AND BRITTLE CAUSES BREAKAGE.

I would say you really should go about every three months. It will stop the split ends from starting.
