Eternity is a long time...would you feel obliged to help those tormented souls in Hell for eternity, have a word with God about it...maybe put in a good word for friends & family?

I think both 'heaven' and 'hell' are located in the minds of humankind - as an ideal and a goal/punishment for correct/incorrect behavior.

Or an alternate view that I also like, from an author I can't recall - "Hell is other people." It certainly seems that way sometimes!

In the first place, nowhere in the bible does it say that you will be in Hell for eternity. Show me one place and I will give you $10,000 cash. Never had any takers yet. Why does it say that the wages of sin is death if you are not going to die? Why does it say we will walk on the ashes of those that burned in Hell fire if they are still burning? Why does it say the wicked with be burned to ashes, will be burned up, be destroyed,if we are to spend eternity burning in Hell fire? Is your Hell so cool that it just burns forever? In first John it states that those that have the Son of God has life but those that do not have the Son of God does not have life. What is the opposite of life? Answer: DEATH. If you want to know where Heaven will be, look at Zech. 14:4. If you really want to know the truth about Hell and about souls and death and all that stuff, go to the site I will list here and do some of the studies. You will find the truth as it is totally bible based, not man based.

Heaven is definitely not on earth! No, you won't be able to hear the screams of hell. No I wouldn't feel obliged to help the tormented souls in hell. You are given your chance to accept the gift of eternal life while you're on earth. If you don't accept it, you accept hell.

I don't think anyone on earth knows that much about heaven. I think it's mostly guesses. I doubt we would hear anything from hell. I think Heaven is a place of peace and hearing screams of torment would not be very peaceful.

1.Where is heaven? Heaven is a real geographical place. Isaiah 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: Satan desired to have God’s throne. It is to the north of the planet earth. It sits in the sides of the North. The mount of congregation is the “sides of the north” is where God met with the sons of God. Psalms 48:2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. The first heaven is where the birds fly. The second heaven is where the stars and planets are. The third heaven is above, or extends around the second heaven. 2 Corinthians 12:2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
2.What is in Heaven? It has foundation like the earth. Hebrews 1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: Jesus is there. Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. There are thrones there: Hebrews 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; Things are really real in heaven: Hebrews 9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. There are doors and food in heaven: Exodus 16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no. Psalms 78:25 Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full. Psalms 78:23 Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, There are roads in heaven: Exodus 24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. There are houses in heaven: Deuteronomy 26:15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey. Amos 9:6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name. There are rainbows and precious stones in heaven: Revelation 4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. There is government in heaven: Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: There are animals and armies in heaven: Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. The earth and all is appearance are no more than shadows of the real heaven: Hebrews 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
3.Is heaven and New Jerusalem the same? No, New Jerusalem is the City of God that comes down to earth: Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. Deuteronomy 11:21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth. New Jerusalem is larger than the moon. It is 1500 miles long, high and wide and it sit on the earth.
4.What will we do in heaven? Judge angels: 1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? Who will not be there? All those that are in hell and Satan and his angels. Job 15:15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
