If you want to just paste the values, you can copy the first column, and then move to the second column, and go to Edit, then paste special, and select "values". If you want to copy formats, select "formats", etc.

Copy the column, then highlight the new column then click on "paste special" in the edit menu. One of your options is content w/o formulas or formatting. That should get you just the data.

Highlight the column you wish to repeat.
Select "EDIT", "COPY".
Place cursor in first cell of new column.
Select "EDIT", "PASTE SPECIAL", "VALUES".
This will put the numbers without formulas into the new column.

i don't know abt exactly copying but why don't u shift the columns by either inserting new columns to shift the columns to right or by simply deleting the whole column if u want to move to left. inserting deleting is very easy just right click on any cell and u have the option to insert.... delet the cloumns, rows etc
