"The poor dog, in life the firmest friend,
The first to welcome, foremost to defend,
Whose honest heart is still the master's own,
Who labors, fights, lives, breathes for him alone,
Unhonour'd falls, unnoticed all his worth,
Denied in heaven the soul he held on earth,
While man, vain insect hopes to be forgiven,
And claims himself a sole exclusive heaven."

Lord Byron
Inscription on the monument of his
Newfoundland dog, 1808

Personally I believe that they must. I mean how else could dogs be so "real"? They are so loving, smart, and the things they do to help people show true thought process. I don't think anything like that could be without a soul. This bible verse sums it up: Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

19For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

20For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Shall be delivered. If they don't have souls they can't be delivered from what I understand. Hope that this makes sense.

Of course! Nothing as loyal and loving as a dog would be without a soul!

I found this website about the Philippines. It has a section called "Hey, don't eat my dog". It says they actually eat dogs there. Souls, perhaps, if someone eats you, do you still have a soul.

Whether souls or another word, the bible says "and the lamb will lay down with the lion". If they can be there, then dogs can be there.

I'm gonna say no because Jesus died for all of MANKINDS sins not birds of the air and beasts in the fields. I do believe there will be animals in Heaven when we get there.
