Well its not the best food for their digestive system. My vet told me that to not give my dog as much wet food because it doesnt have all the vitamins and nutrients like dry food. I would reccomend that if you do give your dogs wet food then give them Science Diet. Thats what my vet reccomends for dry and wet food. Also, there is a new dog diet called the BARF diet which stand for Bones And Raw Food diet. I cant get you all the details but if you search it on the internet then you'll find plenty of information.

cat's need one or two more vitamins than dogs do. so essentially it's ok for a dog to eat cat food. however if a cat eats nothing but dog food it will get sick. Cat food is more expensive than dog food because it has more vitamins, it won't hurt your dog to let it eat cat food but it might hurt your wallet.

yes cat food is bad for dog food it could cause them to get sick (my vet told me that) they make canned food for dogs too. i dont think canned food is good for pets though it makes them want to eat more and more and gain ALOT of weight, that is what i noticed from my old cat and my aunts cats that ate canned food, my cats dont eat canned and they both are fit.
