i'm 20 and my gf is 19 were going to get married soon.. quick... and we were just going to get married legally (for insurance reasons)... and later on have the wedding weve always wanted... does anyone know about how much it cost to get a marriage license and were to get it at?

Price depends on the county. You must obtain the license from the courthouse in the county where your ceremony will take place. Price usually ranges from $30 to $50.
I just called my local courthouse this morning to confirm this information for my own wedding. The cost of mine is $35, to give you an idea.

In Texas it is $66 for both the license and the ceremony by the Justice of the Peace.

The average cost is 40 bucks, but every state is different. You'll have to go to the justice of the peace. He will marry you at the court house. You can't just go get a lisence and not get married, thats illegal.

Depends on where you live. My marriage license was 30.00 and we just got ours. The best thing to do, is call the courts where you live and ask. Also ask what you need to bring.
