How many can you actually name without cheating and looking it up?

(I only got 4 of them myself before I read the article)

I think there are more than 10, but the ones I'm familiar with include:
Stirling engines, solar concentrators, photovoltaic, ethanol fuel production, fuel cells (PEM, SOFC, DM, etc.), wind turbines, tidal power generation, hydro-electric, organic dye-based solar cells, superconductive materials for power transmission, residential combined heat and power systems, solar water heating systems, biomass digesters, nuclear reactors, etc.

None of these by itself will replace oil, but each can replace part of the energy we currently get from fossil fuels.

Solar,Wind,Tidal,Geothermal,Hydro-enrgy,Nuclear & fuel cells r all dat i can think of
