My family and sister have always been fighting, like "Who didn't clean the kitchen?!" and "Am I the only one that does anything here?!". Mostly about cleaning. I've tried calming them down, but they just get even MORE mad! Any tips on how to either calm them down or block the noise out?

Its nice that you want to be a mediator but it may backfire I say go for a walk or go for a drive leave if they want to fight let them duck it out stay out of it!! Good Luck!!

I can understand where you are coming from. I am a lover not a fighter, and I hate listening to people fight. When I have some friends of family members that are fighting I try to hear them out individually. I like to listen to people, so I let the go off on my ear drums until they have calmed down and got their thoughts together. Then, I suggest that they rationally talk to one another. In the end it is their fight and they need to settle it and I try not to get involved. But, if all else fails, and I don't wanna listen to anyone argue, I blast my ipod. That is a great way to keep out ANY noise. Hope I could help! :)

If they are arguing on who does more, make them create a "chore list" and even out the chores. If there is still an argument, have them switch chores every other week so they will be doing the same amount.

I seems like there's a lot of tension in your home and you guys need some outside help. there are a lot of counseling programs that can help your family out. Call social service and they put you in the right direction. If they can't help you, they'll find some one that will. Good luck.

tell your sister to tighten up! you sound like the younger sister. maybe you could ask your parents if they want to split the chores between you and her or something. or maybe you could pick up the slack so they don't have to argue all the time. watch dr. phil from last night :)
