Beans and rice. For something simple it's very well balanced and filling. I never seem to get tired of it and never feel bad after having it.

I'm going to be a bit nitpicky with your question's wording here: since you said food, and not drink, I will assume that the stranded person also has access to potable water. Without water from a stream (or fruit or vegetable, etc.), any person will die in a week or two.

On the food side, survival is not just related to consumption of nutrients. Your food can also provide shelter, warmth, protection, a means of acquiring more food, and more. Consider how useful a large mammal (like a bison or a deer) is to those who use all the animal has to offer. Not only does the meat provide nourishment, but the hide can be used for waterproof shelter and for clothing, the bones can be carved into weapons, the tallow can be used for candles and even for cooking. Take whatever animal this island has to offer---perhaps a large wild cat, maybe a monkey---and use it to bolster your survival.
