I'm pretty sure you can't have too much yogurt, and yogurt actually has live (good) bacteria in it that helps with digestion. If you are letting them eat Trix yogurt or products geared toward children, try buying plain, low-fat yogurt and mixing in fresh fruit. Make it fun, and let the girls help you cut the fruit up. If you are truly concerned that they are getting too much or if they are having bowel problems (we call it the big D in our house), talk to your pediatrician. He/she will let you know how much is too much. Good Luck!

I know many people think that yogurt is some ultimate health food but it is not true. Most yogurt has very high levels of sugar and chemicals in it. I would recommend watching her sugar intake and maybe getting natural yogurt or yogurt with less sugar for her. She also need to be eating a wide variety of food for her health- maybe add things into her yogurt.

I think your girls would have to go pretty far to eat too much. My son loves yogurt and will eat three containers in a day. My only concern for yogurt loving kids is the sugar in some brands. the Gogurts and candy-flavored ones to me are a treat, and not eaten every day but regular yoplait or fruit flavored (the kind you as a grownup would eat) I let my kids pretty much go for broke.

I don't know how much is too much. Actually I hate to say it, but I would never let my kids eat yogurt. Have you ever seen that stuff under a microscope? It's nothing but wiggly little things (I don't know what they are, but I don't want that crawling around in my stomach). But hey, if she likes it let her have it. It's much better than chips or cookies.

If it's the tube stuff with fake colors and flavors, I would not even call that yogurt...more like candy.

My kids eat stonyfield organic yogurt. It's all natural and a good source of protein, calcium and it promotes healthy digestion.

NO! Let them eat all they want as a snack. Yogurt is great for fighting yeast infections which young girls and teens do get from time to time. It's not too filling before dinner either, so let them have at it!

The only negative thing I can say about eating too much yoghurt is, that it does make a lot of phlegm round the vocal cords. If she likes singing, she'd need to cut the dairy products out.

hmmm, I don't think you can have too much yogurt. I would imagine its good for you. As long as they eat other stuff too, veggies and such, i'm assuming they'd be fine.
