The ones on the LEFT you can just delete the program will still run when needed

Click on the start button.
Click on the run button.
Run the program "msconfig"
Find the start tab and uncheck the programs you want to not load.
Restart window. There will be a message that reminds you of what you did. Click ok and continue.
Unless you're familiar with windows and its working, I wouldn't mess around with msconfig.

The quicklaunch buttons can be removed easily by dragging them to the recycle bin. It doesn't remove the program. It just gets rid of those annoying buttons.

if you mean the ones that auto start usually by the clock , START / RUN / MSCONFIG start tab unclick the items you do not want to start with pc, like quicktime real updater etc.. be sure not to disable the antivirus or firewall.

Go to Start--->Run---> and type in MSCONFIG, once this loads go to the startup tab and deselect the programs you do not want.
