My wedding is 12 August and I have everything in line... except an idea for my hair. It will be about shoulder length by then, I can't decide whether or not I want to wear it up, down, curly, straight or what. My dress is a "V cut" halter that is rather basic and easy since it's a small intimate wedding. I don't want my hair to be outrageous and wild with a simple dress. Please help me with some insight!

Without knowing any more about you (coloring, face shape, veil or tiara type, etc), I'd suggest gentle waves (best made with large, soft curlers) with a flexible-hold hairspray. Waves have an earthy look to them that seems to go well with simpler, more intimate weddings like yours. Since your dress is a V-neck and a halter, you'll want to pull some of your hair up to show off your neck and decolletage, so I would also suggest a loose knot, either with half of your hair pulled up or all of it pulled back at the nape of your neck. If you have a veil (and aren't doing a blusher in front of your face), I'd go for this second option, then attach the veil underneath the knot. For a blusher veil, I'd say half-up with the veil attached at the crown of your head works best. A tiara or comb goes well with either option. Good luck, and congratulations!

I would say keep it simple with maybe it half up and half down and all curly. You could wear it however you like, but if you always wear your hair down maybe consider sticking with that or vice versa to keep your personality in the wedding.

A wedding specialist on The View says that long hair is the trend. Try for soft flowing curls.

I think you should wear it up since its going to be really hot in a wedding dress even if it is inside with AC your dress is probably long to the floor and there really is no way to get cooler so have your hair up and its one less thing you have to worry about.

Consider where the wedding is being held, if its in the summer and outside wearing hair down is really risky, it just looses all life. I know I ran into that problem.

It depends if you will be wearing a headpiece or not.

Also, if it's a evening affair, is best if you wear it up. If it's an informal or daytime affair is best down and wavy.

Whatever you decide, don't try new radical haircuts or haircolor right before the wedding!!!!

Congratulations and good luck.

You need a blowdryer, styling mousse or lotion, a brush, wide-toothed comb, pins, a fat curling iron, hot rollers, hairpins, holding spray & hairspray. First step: Wash hair & put styling lotion in hair working from the roots out. Blow dry your hair thoroughly. This style works best on VERY dry hair. After hair is dry: Now you'll want to roll hair in hot rollers. Spritz holding spray on pieces of hair before rolling in big curlers. Once curls are cool: Take out rollers one at a time, teasing each piece a bit at the root. Be careful to keep chunky pieces together. Pull hair back in a loose ponytail Next, how to create the look in the picture: Take chunky piece of hair and roll it up, pinning it in place on your crown. Do this with each chunky piece, but be sure & curl & pin hair in alternating directions. Sometimes you'll want to roll in, sometimes out. The trick is to alternate while keeping the chunks in place. If you have bangs: You'll want to leave bangs out of the style. Part them on the side & smooth along face. Last but not least: Add extra pins for support then spray the whole look in place. Please visit the website for more information. I hope it works, best of luck to you!

I've done quiet a few weddings, If you do a up do spray the heck out of it!! You don't want it falling. I think for your dress and hair, you should wear it down,go for soft big curls!! Very romantic. CONGRATS!!!!!
