My boyfriend and I were dating for more than a year now. Our relationship is great, we moved together and planning on getting married. Anyways every now and then he mentions his ex. I know everything about her. One night I woke up and I found him checking on her space on the internet. He was trying to contact her. He says he is mad at her because she cheated on him and treated him bad, but on the other hand he says he has dreams about her sometimes, and that he will not forget her. Besides that, he says he is mad at her, he will never go back to her, that he loves me and wants to be with me. I know he does love me. But why does he miss her? It's been 4 years since they broke up. Is it normal to miss your first love? I am so hurt. I even feel like my own feelings changed since that night. I don't know what to do. I don't want to make the problem bigger than it really is.. but I don't want to cover my eyes and pretend everything's fine... what should I do? Help me!!! Thanks so much...

I was obsessed with my ex for the longest time too, and that hurt my girlfriend but we eventually married and was together for about 16 years total even tho the first 2 years I missed my ex. So there is hope for you and your boyfriend. What I did was wrong and I regret hurting my wife with not letting go of my ex like that. I can relate to what you are going through. I was crazy about my ex but in time with the support of my wife I got through it and so can you and your boyfriend. You have to decide if you are willing to put up with his sorrow until he gets over her. Its very hard and it takes alot of love to put up with it. You can let your boyfriend know how this hurts you but you want to stick it out and help him get over her. He may not realize the pain he is causing you. Talk to him......

Please do not marry this guy!!! Sounds like you both need time alone. He needs to resolve his feelings for his ex before going into a marriage that he can only commit to half-hearted. Come on, girl. Do you want part of his love or all of it????? He needs some help. You do too wanting to be married to someone who really does not love you. You will be competing with the woman all of your life. Leave for a while and see where it goes.

Well yea that is normal to miss you first love, i miss mines sometimes. But if he says he wants to be with you and that he loves you it will only take a certain amount of time that he will get over her it will proble take some time but soon she should be completely off his mind. you cant heal anyone you have to let them heal for themselves. so just be patient he'll come around.

well if i was you i would think twice about being with this guy because if his ex was to come back in his life he would go with her he isn't over her and if she comes back he's surely going to go with her you need to ask him what is it he really wants and if he really loves you or his ex

no offense but thats not a good sign technically hes still on the rebound which is really bad especailly if hes asking u to marry him again no offense but i wouldent.
